7 K-dramas To Watch Out For This July

One of the perks of being a Korean drama fan is we never run out of K-drama to watch and look forward to. We have monthly supplies of new titles and most of them are worth watching. July (2020) is filled with seemingly good K-dramas with star-studded casts. And, personally, I am excited to see most of them.

Here are the seven upcoming K-dramas that you should add to your watch list this July:

  1. Memorials

Alternative Titles: The Ballot, Into The Ring

Cast: Nana and Park Sung Hoon

Release Date: July 1, 2020 / Wednesdays and Thursdays

Genre: Romantic-comedy, Political

My notes: I have always adored Nana since Roommate. And Park Sung-Hoon did so well as a charismatic psychopath in Psychopath’s Diary. I am so looking forward to this one.

2. The Good Detective

Cast: Son Hyun-Joo, Jang Seung-Jo, Lee Elijah

My Notes: The trailer was enticing. I like detective stories so I will consider this one.

3. Men Are Men

Cast: Hwang Jung-Eum, Yoon Hyun-Min, Seo Ji-Hoon

Release Date: July 6, 2020 / Mondays & Tuesdays

Genre: Romantic-comedy

My Notes: I’ve seen too many plots like this one but I knew this is going to be different because Hwang Jung-Eum always makes good romcoms.

4. Was It Love?

Cast: Song Ji-Hyo, Son Ho-Jun, Song Jong-Ho, Kim Min-Jun, Koo Ja-Sung

Release Date: July 8, 2020 / Wednesdays & Thursdays

My Notes: Whew! That’s too many good-looking leading men right there. I’m so excited for Song Ji Hyo! LOL. This is going to be aired on Netflix.

5. Graceful Friends

Alternative Title: Elegant Friends

Cast: Yu Jun-Sang, Song Yoon-A, Bae Soo-Bin, Kim Sung-Oh

Release Date: July 10, 2020 / Fridays & Saturdays

Genre: Mystery, Crime, Drama

My Notes: When I first saw the previous posters of this upcoming drama, I thought it had the vibe of Sky Castle but Graceful Friends is different. This one is a mystery-crime drama. And with that, I am down with it.

6. Train

Source: MyDramaList

Cast: Yoon Si-Yoon, Kyung Soo-Jin, Shin So-Yul

Release Date: July 11, 2020 / Saturdays & Sundays

Genre: Suspense, Sci-Fi, Mystery, Romance

My Notes: I loved Yoon Si-Yoon on Psychopath Diary and I would love to see him portray serious roles such as this one. It seems this drama has a parallel universe element. I’m so going to watch this one.

7. Flower Of Evil

Source: AsianWiki

Cast: Lee Joon-Gi, Moon Chae-Won

Release Date: July 22, 2020 / Wednesdays & Thursdays

Genre: Suspense, Thriller, Romance, Drama

My Notes: Intriguing. I love suspense thrillers and the lead actors are good so I will add this to my watch list.
